Jessie (Gagga)

By cobble stone, leaves and the lamp colour night.

I saw my great grandmother, cigarette and light.

Brown tights and shoes, worn plenty worn through.

Stood on the carpet in tedious white.

By cobble stone, leaves and the dampness of light.

I see lady’s lane ever winding so tight.

Master of gaming, the popular Janey.

Outside the bakery: battle and bite.

By cobble stone, leaves and the bareness of life

I saw my great grandmother fall without fright

Voice thick in smoke, all pleasant in knowing

That one day she’ll teach me to write.
