[SALT EARTH]
The sea floods in like rolling meadows
in the shadow of half-moon,
Stretching for miles upon silken grains,
The water settles in for good sleep.
It shivers as great winds roll the blanket back
to reveal thoughts that cavort around the
old spirit's body;
It rises as jagged rocks disturb innocent dreams of
salty glory, and bays down to satisfy the pressuring
ache of land mass fury.
From island to island the wondering sea will toss
and turn, provoke and soothe men; water the earth
as it rests down in its' bottomless bed.
Then in pillow-talk, it whispers sweetly to all beings
I've created, "Sleep now dear earth and sleep next to
me, hear my mother voice..."
So to that,
The nocturnal depth blinks,
Forever Forgotten Salty Sea of Salt Sinks.

This is meant to be a kiddie poem I wrote for fun about my cat when I noticed he was gaining a few too many pounds.....Pip x
FAT CAT:
My cat is fat,
there's no doubt about it!
He's as round as an orange,
As wide as a football & as
long as a bat,
in fact....he might just be a GIANT CAT!
It's all that pudding he's eating,
It is not depleting
His wallowing sides,
And all that resting he's doing
It is not improving his lengthening strides...
Actually his paws are so big he could knock you out cold!
His mouth is SO wide he could eat you up whole!
He's a monster,
A whale,
A man-eating chomper,
A mound,
A tank,
An out-of-breath-stomper!
Oh....if only my cat were beautifully slim!
A sleek, elegant gentleman who's almost thin,
But noooo...noooo...
My cat just has to be FAT,
And he won't go on a diet,
so THAT (it appears) is THAT.
